Early voting for the Massachusetts presidential primary begins Monday, and city officials Berkshire County’s largest city say they’re ready to start collecting ballots.

From Monday to Friday, Pittsfield voters can come to city hall at 70 Allen Street to vote early in the March 3rd primary. The Republican, Democratic, Green Rainbow and Libertarian parties are all holding primaries. With Massachusetts’ open primary system, anyone not enrolled in one of those parties can choose which ballot to take.

“Basically early voting is set up so that everyone who’s registered to vote in the city of Pittsfield can come in and vote on their time," said Heather Brazeau, the assistant clerk of elections for Pittsfield. "If it’s a little more convenient for them to come here, it’s open to everyone to make voting day more simple.”

The registrars of voters’ office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
