State Postpones Sale Of World War II Era Gun

Vermont Governor Phil Scott has stopped the sale of a state-owned gun that has a Nazi emblem.
The state has been selling guns that are taking up space in evidence lockers.

The independent newspaper Seven Days reports that on Thursday Governor Scott, a Republican, halted the sale of a Word War II rifle engraved with an eagle holding a swastika. According to the report the state passed a law in 2018 requiring the sale of all seized and abandoned firearms, but the governor’s office determined he has the discretion to decide when to sell them.

There are  two rifles with the same Nazi emblem and both will be withheld from sale.
