With Plants And Trees, Honeycutt Paints A Picture Of Natural Life At Naumkeag

Brece Honeycutt

This summer, Sheffield, Massachusetts-based Brece Honeycutt is the artist in residence at Naumkeag, the historic mansion in Stockbridge. Since mid-June, she’s been hard at work translating the natural beauty of the Berkshire hills around the residence into an art project housed in a barn on the grounds. Honeycutt spoke to WAMC about her work before today’s open studio event, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
