Officials say a Vermont town hall's mold cleanup project is nearly complete.
Bellows Falls Town Manager Wendy Harrison has announced that town offices should be back to normal next week after a disruptive cleaning process.
The mold was discovered in the heating and ventilation units in town offices after the summer cooling season.
Harrison says the cleaning of the top two floors is complete, and employees are back at their desks. The Brattleboro Reformer reports officials are still waiting on results of air tests in the offices of town manager and finance.
Harrison says the original cost of cleanup was estimated at $30,000, but workers have completed cleaning in a shorter amount of time then estimated and clean up costs are $8,000 below budget.
