FBI Arrests Suspect That Emailed Multiple Threats To Burlington

The FBI says it has arrested a Connecticut man who they suspect made numerous emailed threats against public institutions like schools and government offices in Burlington, Vermont.
Burlington police said Thursday that 51-year-old Roland Prejean, also known as George Gravelle, threatened to engage in violence against the Burlington community. Prejean was arrested by the FBI on Wednesday and was ordered detained.

Police said there is no reason to believe the threats presented an actual danger to the community. Officials say Prejean has engaged in this type of behavior in the past, and has spent time in prison on similar charges.

Burlington Police Chief Brandon del Pozo says U.S. Capitol Police also assisted in the investigation, as threats were also made to independent Senator Bernie Sanders' office.
