The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission will take its draft regulations for how municipalities should handle the legal marijuana industry on the road. The commission is seeking public input from the Cape to the Berkshires.
Retail pot was legalized via a statewide ballot question in 2016. In July 2017, Governor Charlie Baker signed a law allowing communities to opt out of recreational pot sales.
The Cannabis Control Commission will hold 10 public hearings around the state to give residents a chance to weigh in on the 107 pages of regulations the agency plans to impose.
A hearing will be held at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield at 8:30 a.m. February 5th, followed by another at Holyoke Community College at 2 p.m.
