An artist has been selected as the next executive director of Downtown Pittsfield Inc. With 209 member organizations, the nonprofit works to promote downtown businesses and foster professional development. WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief JD Allen spoke with Cheryl Mirer about her role in the county’s largest city.
Her predecessor Kristine Hurley left to become mission advancement director at the Berkshire Family YMCA in July.
