Officials in a Vermont town say they are generally supportive of a plan to build mountain biking trails at a ski resort, but they have concerns about the impact increased traffic might have on emergency response.
The Woodstock Inn and Resort has proposed the trails as part of an effort to expand beyond traditional ski season offerings at the Suicide Six resort in Pomfret.

The Valley News reports town officials raised concerns, including traffic impact and potential noise issues, during a meeting last week. Selectman Scott Woodward said there is an opportunity to work with the resort's new management not only to resolve those issues, but to reshape the overall relationship between the town and resort.
