More than $2.7 million in state tax incentives is going to support 22 downtown and village center revitalization projects around Vermont.
Republican Governor Phil Scott announced the winners of the tax incentives on Wednesday in Montpelier across the street from one of the projects. Nearly $300,000 in tax incentives will help to renovate two upper floors of Montpelier's French Block, which have been vacant for more than 75 years.

The Legislature increased the program's funding by $200,000 last year.

Other recipient projects include repair and renovations to the Vermont Studio Center artists' studios in an historic church in Johnson that were destroyed by fire, and improving the accessibility and safety at Guilford's historic Grange Hall.
