Small Plane Crashes In Salisbury, Connecticut

A small plane that took off from Great Barrington, Massachusetts on Sunday crashed in Salisbury, Connecticut. 

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash of a 1946 Piper J-3 Cub plane that crashed in the hills of Mount Riga State Park in Salisbury, Connecticut around 5 p.m. Sunday.

The vintage single-engine plane took off from the Great Barrington airport.

Police did not immediately identify the pilot and the passenger who were taken to Sharon Hospital with minor injuries.

An environmental crew has also begun to clean up fuel leaked from the plane.
