The owners of the Berkshire Mall in Lanesborough, Massachusetts have taken care of some of its debt.

The Berkshire Mall’s owners, Kohan Retail Investment Group, missed the July 20th deadline to pay $239,000 to the Baker Hill Road District, which had the right to take over the mall’s management until the debt was paid.

Now, that debt is squared away. The mall’s owners also paid $209,000 in town taxes to Lanesborough, due August 1st. The mall still owes roughly $8,000 from last year.

The mall has lost its Payless ShoeSource, Eastern Mountain Sports, JCPenney, Macy’s and Best Buy stores over the past two years.

The mall's assessment value has dropped from $60 million to about $19.5 million.
