Boston Conservatory at Berklee President Richard Ortner – who had a stint as Tanglewood’s administrator – will retire July 1st as the school turns 150 this year. WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief JD Allen spoke with Ortner about his career preparing musicians for the 21st century and what’s next for him in the Berkshires.
Ortner is retiring after 20 years as president.
