Authorities say a 15-year-old boy apparently stabbed his mother to death and then fatally shot himself in their home in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
Mary Danehy,50, suffered multiple stab wounds," which appear to have caused her death", according to a spokesman for Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni.
Joshua Guyette, 15, appears to have died from a single gunshot wound, according to the spokesman, who added a fireman was recovered near the body.
Police discovered the bodies inside a home on Lauzier Terrace Thursday after a neighbor reported hearing a gunshot.
Earlier in the day, according to police, Danehy had removed her son from school, at the request of administrators, because of behavior issues.
