With new leadership, a southern Berkshire County nonprofit is moving forward on affordable housing efforts in Great Barrington.

Jane Ralph is the new director of Construct Inc., taking over for Reverend Cara Davis, who held the position for 26 years.

Ralph says she is continuing the organization’s 12-acre affordable housing project, called Forest Springs, in Great Barrington. The organization aims to create affordable housing and support services for families and individuals to prevent homelessness.

The effort is part of the nonprofit’s strategic plan as the social service agency looks to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2020.
