The clock is ticking toward the tax deadline.
The federal income tax filing date was pushed back to Monday because April 15th was a local holiday in Washington. Massachusetts taxpayers have until Tuesday to file their federal and state tax returns because Monday is Patriots Day, a state holiday.
Individual income taxes are the largest single source of revenue for the federal government.
