A Pittsfield man being held in connection with a string of robberies has been charged with calling in bomb threats moments before a January robbery.Damian Ivas had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf Tuesday to three charges in connection with bomb threats made on January 7th.
Although a number of buildings were named in that threat, Lenox Memorial Middle and High School was the only school evacuated. Shortly after, Pittsfield Police began investigating whether the threats, made from a payphone, were related to the same-day armed robbery of Dawes Avenue Variety.
Ivas, 40, was arrested February 1st in connection with a string of city robberies after being identified by another suspect.
