New charges have been filed against a former northern Vermont selectman and his wife alleging that they distributed drugs.
A nine-count indictment unsealed last week alleges Bernard Savage and his wife, Patricia, conspired with others to distribute cocaine and oxycodone.
The Burlington Free Press reports the couple's home was raided in July. Authorities say 103 firearms, about a half-dozen kinds of drugs and nearly $25,000 in cash were seized. Authorities say a non-operational methamphetamine lab was also discovered.
Patricia Savage on Friday pleaded not guilty to two counts of distributing oxycodone in November 2014 and April 2015. Bernard Savage is scheduled for arraignment today.
Bernard Savage is a former Alburgh selectman and resigned from his position in October.
The couple's lawyers didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
