Multiple Gunshots Fired At Connecticut Mosque

Police and FBI agents are investigating reports of multiple gunshots fired at a Connecticut mosque hours after the terrorist attacks in Paris.

Mohammed Qureshi, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Connecticut, tells The Record-Journal that leaders of the Baitul Aman mosque in Meriden found multiple bullet holes in the building Sunday night.

Qureshi says the mosque was empty at the time and no one was injured.

Several neighbors reported hearing shots in the area early Saturday morning.

Police say shots were fired into the mosque, penetrating three interior walls and areas where members gather for prayer.

Lt. Sal Nesci says the investigation has been turned over to the FBI.

Qureshi says members of the mosque are peace loving and denounce all acts of terrorism.
