Turmoil seems to be the play that’s currently on stage at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox. A week after its executive director split six months in, three leaders of the board of trustees are resigning from their posts.Board chair Sarah Hancock and vice chairs Claudia Perles and Charles Schader resigned from their roles during an unofficial meeting Tuesday, according to The Berkshire Eagle. The paper reports Schader is the only one leaving the board completely.

Last week, Rick Dildine stepped down as executive director just six months after he took over the Lenox-based company. He returned to Shakespeare Festival St. Louis.

In November 2014, Shakespeare & Company founding member and then-artistic director Tony Simotes resigned. His contract was set to expire in May 2015.

Jim was WAMC’s Assistant News Director and hosted WAMC's flagship news programs: Midday Magazine, Northeast Report and Northeast Report Late Edition.
