Facebook

After initially pleading not guilty, a North Adams man has admitted to calling in a false bomb threat at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in October.Twenty-one year-old Jarrett Ferriter pleaded guilty to one count of false report of a crime and another count of willful and malicious communication of false information to public safety in Berkshire Superior Court Wednesday afternoon.

The Berkshire Eagle reports Ferriter, then a third-year MCLA student, admitted he stopped taking his medication for ADHD and depression before calling North Adams police on October 6th warning of bombs set to detonate on campus.

Placed on two years probation and given 150 hours of community service, Ferriter has been ordered to pay more than $15,000 in restitution, stay away from the MCLA campus and continue mental health treatment.
