Parents and community members are set to join faculty, staff and students at the Berkshire Arts and Technology Charter Public School Wednesday morning to cut a ribbon on the school’s expansion. The infamous multi-purpose “cafegymitorium” is no more inside the school in Adams. Two fitness rooms, a lunch room, and a combined gym and stage area are all part of a $4.6 million project that has added 10,000 square feet. Lauren Cornell is a junior.
“Now we don’t have to eat in the same space that we get to play around in and watch performances in,” said Cornell.
Donations exceeded $1 million. Wednesday’s ribbon cutting is set for 8:30 a.m. The public is welcome.
