Williamstown Man Arraigned On Firearm Charges

The Williamstown man accused of carrying a loaded handgun while intoxicated on the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts campus has been arraigned in Berkshire Superior Court.Christopher LaFrance had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf to multiple charges including carrying a firearm on school grounds, resisting arrest and 21 counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device. The 25-year-old former MCLA student was arrested October 28th after being pepper-sprayed by campus police for allegedly being drunk and disrupting a class. The Berkshire Eagle reports police found LaFrance carrying a loaded .40-caliber pistol.

The military veteran who served in Iraq was released on personal recognizance under the conditions he comply with VA clinical recommendations, not possess firearms and stay away from the MCLA campus.
