Officials say Vermont state revenues exceeded forecasts in December for the general, transportation and education funds.
Through the first six months of the fiscal year, the transportation and education funds are slightly ahead of the budget. But the General Fund remains about $11.1 million behind for the year.
In figures for December released Tuesday, outgoing Administration Secretary Jeb Spaulding says the General Fund is 6.1 percent ahead of the monthly target.
The Transportation Fund is 9.6 percent ahead of expectations, while the Education Fund is 1 percent ahead of forecast.
Spaulding says that after several months of disappointing revenues he's encouraged that the state's three major sources of revenue were ahead of target for December.
