Malloy criticizes GOP Foes For Embracing Christie

CT.gov

Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy is taking issue with state Republicans aligning politically with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Christie was in Greenwich Monday where the Republican promised to return to help defeat Malloy.Malloy said Tuesday that voters should assume the GOP gubernatorial candidates, would do the same thing to Connecticut that Christie has done to New Jersey. He contends that is to drive the state "closer and closer to bankruptcy."

Malloy also took issue with Christie's decision not to meet with the families of some Newtown shooting victims about a New Jersey gun control bill.

Christie, who is backing Greenwich businessman Tom Foley, said Monday that he'll come "again, and again, again" to help elect a governor who'll bring jobs to Connecticut.

When asked, Christie also said he would not campaign for Rob Astorino, the Republican challenging New York’s Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, saying he doesn’t invest in lost causes.
