One of Vermont's Republican gubernatorial hopefuls will formally launch his campaign this week.
Scott Milne is going to hold his official kickoff on Wednesday at Barre's Aldrich Library at 11:15 a.m. The event will be followed by burgers for his supporters at the nearby Barre Elks Club.
Milne is one of three people seeking the Republican nomination to run for governor in November. The other GOP candidates are Emily Payton and Steve Berry.
Incumbent Governor Peter Shumlin is facing a challenge in the Democratic primary from the little-known H. Brooke Paige.
