Historian and political scientist James MacGregor Burns has died. His son, Stewart Burns, says the 95-year-old died at 3:09 this morning. The Williams College professor emeritus won the 1971 Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award for his biography, Roosevelt: Soldier of Freedom.
