Residents purchasing insurance through Vermont Health Connect can now pay their bills online.
The online payment function in the state's online health marketplace hasn't worked since the system was launched last fall, but that changed with a site upgrade over the weekend.
Vermont Public Radio reports that a few people enrolling for coverage were able to use it before it was fully installed over the weekend, and workers helping people enroll got more training on Monday.
Lawrence Miller of the Agency of Commerce and Community Development says the upgrade also addressed a large number of issues affecting call center workers. He says anyone enrolling by March 15 for coverage starting April 1 can pay online, as can anyone who previously enrolled.
