Trial Set For Second Suspect In Berkshire Triple Slaying

A second suspect in a Berkshire County triple slaying is scheduled to go on trial in April.

The trial of David Chalue was scheduled for April 22 at a court hearing on Monday, but exactly where it will be held remains to be determined.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that Chalue's lawyer argued that because of massive publicity about the case in Berkshire and Hampden counties, the trial should be moved to Hampshire or Worcester county.

The judge did not immediately rule.

The 46-year-old Chalue, of North Adams, is charged with playing a role in the slayings of David Glasser, Robert Chadwell and Edward Frampton in August 2011. He pleaded not guilty.

The plot's leader, Adam Lee Hall, was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder earlier this month.
