The deadline is looming for people who want to receive a federal subsidy and get health insurance through the Vermont Health Connect system at the beginning of the year.
Today is the last day people for people to apply for coverage that takes effect Jan. 1.
People who apply after today can get insurance, but without subsidies, but for those who are eligible, the subsidies would become available on Feb. 1.
Problems plagued the state's health care website after its Oct. 1 launch, but the system has been working better and people are signing up in increasing numbers.
