Four companies filed by the deadline to compete for the lone resort casino license in western Massachusetts.  At least three companies will compete to build a casino in eastern Massachusetts.  There were two applicants that did not identify a site for a project and two applying for the slots parlor licnese.  Each application came with a $400,000 non refundable fee to cover the cost of background investigations, which will begin immediately.

The record-setting tenure of Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno. The 2011 tornado and its recovery that remade the largest city in Western Massachusetts. The fallout from the deadly COVID outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers Home.
