Levine To Return To Podium, Tanglewood

Lenox, Massachusetts – Ask Boston Symphony Music Director James Levine how he is doing and he triumphantly raises his right arm high above his head and waves. The seemingly simple movement is something he has recently restored to his repertoire. Levine fell and tore his rotator cuff exiting the stage at Boston's Symphony Hall about four months ago. Now recuperated, Levine returns to the podium for the first time, just in time for the BSO's Opening Night Gala at Tanglewood this Friday.
