Rite-Aid is expanding its COVID-19 testing by adding 46 no-charge testing sites. As WAMC’s Allison Dunne tells us, three of these are in the Hudson Valley.
Rite-Aid says the added sites begin testing May 11. The three additional sites in the Hudson Valley are on Flatbush Avenue in Kingston; Route 211 East in Middletown and Main Street in Poughkeepsie. The drugstore chain is adding testing capabilities elsewhere in New York — in Buffalo, Rochester and on Long Island. Rite-Aid already offers testing in Valley Cottage, in Rockland County, as well as in Albany County, in Colonie; and in New Hartford, in Oneida County. All Rite Aid COVID-19 testing locations use self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists. You must be at least 18 years old, and need to pre-register online to schedule a time slot for testing.
