New York U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be in the Hudson Valley Friday to announce legislation to support families struggling with substance abuse.

Senator Gillibrand will be in Newburgh at Cornerstone Family Healthcare’s Center for Recovery to announce her new bipartisan bill to provide families with tools to support their loved ones living with addiction. The Family Support Services for Addiction Act would create a grant program to help nonprofits and community organizations provide support services to families with loved ones seeking addiction treatment. The Democrat is due at the Center shortly after noontime.
