NYS DOH To Discuss Next Set Of PFOS Blood Test Results In Newburgh

WAMC, Allison Dunne

The New York State Department of Health will hold two public information sessions Thursday, March 30, to discuss the second set of PFOS blood test results.

State health department officials say the second set of PFOS blood test results is for about 370 people. The information sessions are from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center on South William Street. The first set of PFOS blood test results, also for some 370 people, was discussed in Newburgh at the end of February. Health officials said those results were higher than the national average for PFOS blood levels. The state health department’s PFOS blood testing program for Newburgh area residents began in November as part of New York’s response to the PFOS drinking water contamination reported last year.
