A judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by opponents of a proposed Legoland theme park for Goshen in Orange County.
New York state Supreme Court Judge Robert Onofry dismissed the suit saying none of the issues raised merit judicial review. He wrote that the court did not found any authority that would allow it to take the extraordinary step of injecting itself into the proceedings. Attorney Michael Sussman, who represents Concerned Citizens of the Hudson Valley and area residents who brought the suit, contended at the time of filing that at issue was the process and not the substance of the Legoland proposal. Merlin Entertainments is set to invest some half-a-billion dollars into the development of Legoland New York.
