Rockland Town Makes Money's Best Places To Live List

A town in Rockland County has made the top 10 of a list of Money magazine’s best places to live. It’s the only mention in the Hudson Valley.

 

Clarkstown, with about 85,000 residents, came in seven of 50 locations. Just two other locales in New York made the list, both on Long Island, with Oyster Bay at 24 and Huntington. at 39. Money magazine analyzed 60 factors, including taxes, education and health care. In Connecticut, West Hartford is 15, Hamden, 38, and Greenwich, 40. Nashua, New Hampshire comes in at 16. Filling the number-one spot is Columbia, Maryland.
