Metro-North Train Strikes Disabled Car At Rail Crossing

Officials say a Metro-North train struck an unoccupied vehicle on the tracks in Westchester County, in Bedford Hills.

An MTA spokesman says it happened at the Green Lane railroad crossing at about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Officials say the car apparently became stuck on the tracks and the driver got out before the train clipped the vehicle. There are no reports of any injuries. The accident caused some delays on the Harlem Line.
