Another Republican is joining the race to replace retiring Congressman Chris Gibson. New York State Assemblyman Pete Lopez of Schoharie tells the Daily Star he is running for New York’s 19th district seat and will formally kick off his campaign soon. The 54-year-old joins a field that also includes former statewide candidate John Faso. Businessman Andrew Heaney is also running.
