A New York Congresswoman Thursday announced $75,000 in federal grants for three arts organizations in Westchester County.

Congresswoman Nita Lowey, the ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, says a $35,000 National Endowment for the Arts grant will go to Westchester Arts Council of White Plains, or ArtsWestchester; and $20,000 each is headed to Hudson West Productions of Croton-On-Hudson and Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art of Peekskill. ArtsWestchester will use the grant to support an exhibition called “SHE: Deconstructing Female Identity.” Hudson West Productions will use its grant for a documentary film about singer-songwriter and poet Rob Morsberger. Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art will use its funding for an ongoing interactive community project by a Peekskill artist.
