Kingston Mayor To Formally Announce Re-Election Bid

The City of Kingston’s incumbent mayor will launch his re-election bid next week.

Democratic Kingston Mayor Shayne Gallo officially will announce his bid March 23 at the former Kings Inn parking lot on Broadway in midtown, the same location where he announced his intentions to run for mayor four years ago, when he referred to the property as a roadblock to bettering the community. The campaign kick-off announcement will highlight what Gallo says were his promises that came to fruition and his vision for the future. Gallo is poised for a primary as City of Kingston Environmental Educator Steve Noble earlier in March announced a bid to run for mayor. The Democratic Noble is the nephew of Kingston Common Council President James Noble.
