Orange County Sends Trees For Troops

Tech Sgt. Michael O'Halloran, 105th Airlift Wing, NY Air National Guard

There is a “Trees for Troops” donation drive Thursday in Orange County.

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and Air National Guard members will participate in Farmside Acres’ annual “Trees for Troops” donation drive. With the help of the 105th Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, the Cornwall-based farm will begin shipping about 250 Christmas trees beginning at 10 a.m. The trees will be sent to Stewart Air National Guard Base in New Windsor; North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base; and Marine Corps Air Station New River, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. “Trees for Troops” has provided more than 139,000 Christmas trees to military families and troops in the U.S. and overseas since 2005.
