105th Air National Guard Members Honor Local Children

NYS Division of Military & Naval Affairs

Members of the New York Air National Guard's 105th Airlift Wing will honor area children Sunday.

The 105th Airlift Wing at the Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh will host and honor eight area children who have battled or are battling debilitating injuries or illnesses. The children reside in Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties. They will be designated as Young Champions during the Airlift Wing’s 16th annual Young Champions Ceremony.  The Young Champion Program was created in 1998 to recognize the courage of children who have battled or are battling life-threatening or debilitating injuries or illnesses. Sunday’s ceremony begins at 9 a.m.
