An annual Labor Day rally is scheduled in Dutchess County for Monday afternoon.
Democratic Dutchess County Legislator Joel Tyner’s 20th annual Real Majority Project Labor Day Rally takes place Monday in Poughkeepsie. Tyner says local labor representatives will be there, as will local elected officials and activists, along with Democratic Assemblyman Frank Skartados. Tyner is calling for the county to phase in a $15-an-hour minimum wage and wants to see green jobs revitalize the economy. The rally kicks off at noon in front of the Poughkeepsie Post Office at Mansion and Market streets.
