There will be an educational forum Wednesday morning in Dutchess County about Lyme disease prevention.

The Dutchess County Legislature Tick Task Force commissioned to study tick control and Lyme disease prevention will host the forum on how to reduce exposure to ticks and the chances of contracting Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. Featured speakers include Dr. Brian Fallon, who is the director of the Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center at Columbia University; Dr. Richard Ostfeld from the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook; and Jill Auerbach, who is the chairwoman of the Hudson Valley Lyme Disease Association. The forum begins at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Fire House and is free and open to the public.
