NY Congressman To Hold Telephone Town Hall

Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney

A New York congressman will hold a telephone town hall Tuesday evening. One of the topics will be Sunday’s fatal Metro-North derailment in the Bronx.

Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney is scheduled to update Hudson Valley residents about the derailment that killed four passengers, two of whom lived in his district. He wants to ensure the public that he is working to get answers quickly, and he wants to update commuters affected by the tragic situation. He will also take questions on such issues as immigration, the economy and healthcare reform. Tens of thousands of residents from Maloney’s 18th congressional district will receive an invitation by telephone to participate in the 7 p.m. conference call. Constituents may also request an invitation by e-mail or by phoning Maloney’s Washington, D.C. office. They may also sign up by visiting the congressman’s web site.
