Haneef Nelson is a New York born and raised trumpeter, educator, and composer. His lifelong love of music started with his early studies at the famed Jazzmobile program in Harlem, where he studied trumpet, music theory, and played in ensembles taught by jazz luminaries. Haneef has performed with jazz greats Yoron Israel, Avery Sharpe, Bill Saxton, Paul Brown, and Charles Tolliver. His original music and arrangements for Big Band have been featured around the world and on the records of the New London Big Band. Haneef will be joined by Michael Carabello-keyboard, Matt Dwonsyzk - bass, Akin Hobson-drums.
Flying Cat Music presents Americana singer-songwriter Abbie Gardner in concert at the Phoenicia United Methodist Church on May 4th at 7:30PM. Abbie is a renowned dobro player who has won many awards and tours extensively. Tickets are $18 online and $20 at the door. The event is open to all ages.

Pablo Shine and his band are masters of jazz with a Latin beat, playing the classics as well as originals with Afro-Cuban, Brazilian samba, and bossa nova rhythms.
Founded in 2018, Pablo Shine Latin Jazz Band’s repertoire includes tunes by Latin jazz legends, such as Cal Tjader, Dizzy Gillespie, Mongo Santamaria, and Tito Puente. Band members include Pablo Shine (conga drums and minor percussion), Rick Altman (songwriter and musical director on vibes), John Dreschler (upright bass), and Paul Anthony Duffy (keyboard).

It's the return of the Rotunda Rhythms concert series at Central Library! Noah Staub and his local group The Marlborough St. Band with Special Guest Chestina Thrower will play rock and R&B for an uplifting good time! All ages are welcome.

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue with legendary jazz pianist Marcus Roberts and his trio alongside the orchestra. The program continues with one of the orchestra’s signature pieces, Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, written for and premiered by The Philadelphia Orchestra in 1940 and 1941.
