Opening Night of The Philadelphia Orchestra’s August residency will continue the tradition of featuring a “Festive Fireworks” program to kick-off the 2022 Orchestra season.
Highlighting the program will be the SPAC debut of BalletX, Philadelphia’s contemporary ballet company known for innovation and inclusion, premiering a new work choreographed by NYCB’s Tiler Peck. The piece will be performed with the Orchestra to Valerie Coleman’s Umoja, Anthem for Unity,* which draws from Afro-Cuban, jazz, and classical genres.

The family-friendly event will feature FREE ice cream by Stewart’s Shops and a dazzling fireworks display to complete the evening.
