Smith is one of the most dynamic & versatile voices in modern music.
On February 2, 2026, Smith won two Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Jazz Album for LIVE ACTION and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for the song “Big Fish” featuring säje.
He is widely regarded as one of the most in-demand musicians of his generation, known for his dynamic blend of jazz, funk, and soul.
Smith has played with artists ranging from Jon Baptiste, Norah Jones, and Vulfpeck to Betty Carter, Charlie Hunter, Pat Metheny, and Kurt Elling.
This trio features Julian ‘J3PO’ Pollack on keyboards and Ben ‘CARTOONS’ Carr on electric bass.
