Lucy Bardo, Allan Dean & Ben Harms to make Music at the Southfield Church

Music at the Southfield Church continues its sixth season with an invitation to join in the fun with Lucy Bardo, Allan Dean, and Ben Harms, members of CALLIOPE: A RENAISSANCE BAND, performing music of the early to late Renaissance using instruments of the period: cornetto, recorders, pipe and tabor, viols, medieval fiddle and assorted improvisatory percussion. Calliope, in the 80s and 90s, was a busy touring early music ensemble, leaders in introducing new music to the genre, as well as creating 20th century arrangements of wonderful old tunes.

The concert will begin at 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 18th at the Southfield Church, 234 Norfolk Road in the Southfield Village of New Marlborough. For more information, a full season lineup, and updated Covid protocols, visit thesouthfieldchurch.org. Admission is free; a retiring collection will be taken at the door to support the artists. A reception on the lawn follows each concert (weather permitting).

Music at the Southfield Church is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council through a grant from the New Marlborough Cultural Council.
