The Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corp in collaboration with the Schoharie County Arts are pleased to announce the exhibition “Jacquard: A Shameless Tango with Satin”.

Gary Avanzato is a New Lebanon-based textile artist who has been exhibiting in galleries since
2000. He has studied with Louise Lemieux-Berube at the Montreal Centre of Contemporary Textiles and Brooks Hagen at the Rhode Island School of Design. His work includes handweaving digital images into jacquard textiles. Gary is a member of the Hudson-Mohawk Weavers guild and the Tryon Weavers Exchange.

The public is invited to the opening reception at 287 Main Street, Schoharie on Friday, October

The show runs through December of this year.
